...In Neighborhood Pride

Our Neighborhood is a proud one with a long history in Vancouver. The people who live here love this place and have worked hard to make it better. Part of our mission is to support the ongoing work in Fruit Valley.

To that end we have developed a number of projects in conjunction with our neighbors.

Together with the Fruit Valley Neighborhood Association, the Foundation sponsors a “property improvement” grant which is awarded to eligible resident owners of property in Fruit Valley. This project will fund exterior home improvements for motivated people who, otherwise, may not have the resources to accomplish their goals. Applications are reviewed by a joint committee of the FVF and the FVNA and selected based on merit. Go to Grant for more information.

Fruit Valley neighborhood is surrounded by industry and the foundation is working to develop partnerships with our business neighbors. By working to find ways for them to be involved in the neighborhood we will also find benefits to their business, such as improved employee pools, low crime, and a desirable area in which to live and work.

One way for everyone to get involved is the Fruit Valley Foundation's annual Golf Tournament, the Fruit Valley Open. Held each year in July, the Golf Tournament is an opportunity for anyone with a heart for Fruit Valley to get to know more about what's happening in the neighborhood as well as network with others committed to our community.
